Fish and clams were among the first victims of the DNR discharge of the mud dredged into Fawn River. These graphic photos are a few samples some of the life that was extinguished for several miles. Healthy populations of the native aquatics will not return without restoration of the once pristine environment.

Clams (mussels) may be slow but we assure you kids love to look at them. And we have no doubt that fishermen will appreciate a stream that once produced native small mouth bass like these shown dead in the immediate aftermath.
